An important factor in the healing process is the mental support of our patients and their relatives, as physical and mental health are fundamentally linked.
In particular, feelings related to the loss of physical motion abilities, communication skills, possible dysphagia, and loss of freedom and independence, signal a period of crisis and intense emotional charge that requires support and specialized care.
Responsible for achieving these objectives is the ANAGENNISIS Psychological Support Team consisting of Clinical Psychologists and Neuropsychologists.
The clinical neuropsychologist is the specialist who can assess the changes and alterations in the central nervous system function and how these are reflected in the patient’s behavior and emotions.
At ANAGENNISI, as part of a holistic approach to patients with brain damage, thorough neuropsychological examinations are performed that simulate activities of daily living and are indicative of how patients would function in real-life conditions.
The individual difficulties of the patient will define the specific therapeutic goals of cognitive rehabilitation.
Therefore, as an integral part of the whole treatment process, ANAGENNISI provides personalized cognitive rehabilitation services. Our aim is to help our patients respond to their daily treatment programs within the center, and mostly, prepare themselves to adapt to social and working life, back home.
